TNA improves Robag form, fill and seal machine

TNA will unveil six technical updates for its Robag vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) machine for confectionery, fresh produce and snack foods at Interpack.

The supplier of turn-key food packaging and processing systems will introduce a 220bpm Robag VFFS with scale and date coder, and a new jaw sealer for creating flexible bag formats, such as quattro and block bottom bags.

It will also show optional "bag shaker" software aimed at improving throughput of products with special textures by shaking them at timed intervals to ensure they are pulled right to the bottom of the bag.

TNA said it would also double production rates for snack foods with the introduction of a twin-configuration Robag VFFS and reduce breakage of delicate products with a new gateless and reversible Roflo accumulation and distribution system.

The firm said the advances would improve production efficiency and quality, increase output and cut waste.

TNA will also unveil SCADA Intelli-Assist software that allows packaging machinery operators to monitor and control all speeds, styles and weighing functions.

TNA group marketing manager Shayne De la Force said: "We are always rethinking the conventional to come up with the right solution for any challenge in every market."

TNA will be on stand 17A28 at Interpack, which runs from 24 to 30 April at the Düsseldorf Fairgrounds.
