Tetra Pak named as iconic design
The Tetra Pak carton is among 30 iconic designs chosen by Harrods to star in a series of lectures in association with the Design Museum.
Tetra Pak designed a range of Prisma cartons of mineral water especially for the event.
The Apple iMac, Baccarat vase and Flexform chair were among the other design icons selected.
The Design Icons lecture series kicked off on Tuesday evening with a sold-out talk by a panel including fashion designer Roland Mouret and Alessi UK managing director Matteo Alessi.
Tetra Pak UK & Ireland managing director Peter Knutsson said: "Great design simply makes life better. It's great to see our original vehicle for innovation celebrated."
Tuesday's talk was titled 'What makes a design icon'. The programme of six events finishes on 23 May with a lecture on Concorde by former British Concorde pilot Christopher Orlebar, a leading authority on the supersonic aircraft.
