Kosme launches shrink-wrapper for secondary packs

Kosme UK, the supplier of packaging machinery, has launched the high-speed, end-of-line Flypack shrink-wrapper to meet growth in secondary packaging.

The Flypack machine, which runs at 45 packs per minute, uses separate product compacting, wrapper and heat-shrink units to unite already packed products in a secondary pack.

Kosme UK said the machine could handle cylindrical, rectangular and square containers as well as trays.

Richard Portman, managing director of Kosme UK, said: "There was a clear demand from our customers for a comprehensive machine that can easily be integrated and used with existing production lines."

Kosme UK is an independent arm of the Krones Group.
