Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences, the drug development and packaging selection firm, has increased its label printing offer to improve quality control and reduce costs.

The US firm has added non-smear thermal transfer printers and software to upload and print random codes that allow it to print any single panel label.

It said the new capabilities would shorten timelines, reduce costs and improve quality control, as well as enable easy revision of data.

Dow Pharmaceutical Sciences supplies labelling, packaging and distribution services to the biopharmaceutical industry in a full range of sizes and dosage forms.

It is based in Petaluma in California and operates in Europe through its Bioskin division.
