GLA publishes inspection reports on website

Packaging firms in the agricultural sector can now check whether the gangmasters which provide them with workers have been inspected by the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA) on its website.

The names of 67 labour provider businesses which have been inspected by the GLA have been published on the website.

The list of inspections will be updated on a weekly basis but will only include inspections where the final report, which includes conditions on the licence and whether a licence has been refused or revoked, has been officially been completed.

The website also includes a list of the labour providers which have had their licences revoked.

GLA chairman Paul Whitehouse said: "This is an opportunity for labour providers to make an informed choice as to whether they are happy with their service."
