Sun Brand Technologies, the supplier of brand management technology, is defying the credit crunch by expanding it business to handle a recent increase in customers.

The company has taken on eight new employees in the UK and has moved to new larger premises in Bradford. It has also hired its first US-based employee as part of its move to the US market.

The company's Odin software monitors progress, assigns tasks and develops artwork. It enables brand managers to have visibility and control the whole process.

Martin Hawkins, executive director, told Packaging News: "Our clients are seeing that we can help them cut costs, streamline their operations and improve their internal efficiency.

"They are realising that once they get past the initial cost of the equipment we can save them money."

Hawkins expects the trend to continue and for the firm to expand further in the US.
