Colpac, the paperboard packaging specialist, has invested in a Heiber & Schroder carton tray erecting machine to improve its service to customers.

The company says the introduction of the CE-850-2 series kit in October has enabled it to make improvements to its gluing speeds and in tooling changeover times.

Terry Langton, operations director, said: "It is estimated that the production capacity of rigid formed trays and clamshells will increase dramatically following the installation of this machine."

Bedfordshire-based Colpac offers design and development services for paperboard packaging. Its products are exported to more than 30 countries.
