Speciality paper supplier MetalPaper has opened a 930sq m factory in Reading with the aim of reducing traditional lead times in metallised paper and board.

MetalPaper is targeting the point of sale, media and print and publication markets with its range of Bright Silver NC coated boards from Metpol.

The company is also manufacturing a range of metalised holographic, metalised coloured and colour shift boards on a Steinemann Lotus laminator.

The machine can apply stock films to almost any board stock.

Stock is held in reel format, which can be cut to customers' required sheet size on a Comprint sheeter and delivered within days.

MetalPaper managing director Steve Livesey said: "I have seen the demand for more flexibility with stock boards for a number of years. I am glad to be able to offer that service."
