Boxes GH invests in Mitsubishi press
Carton manufacturer Boxes GH has bought a six-colour Mitsubishi printing press and coater to boost production capacity.
The press, which replaces a Roland machine, has been installed at Boxes GH's plant in Great Harwood, Lancashire.
It features full end-of-press UV drying and six inter-deck drying units and will work alongside Boxes GH's Roland 900.
Boxes GH managing director Peter Burgess said: "It is important that we remain at the forefront of producing high quality cartons with the shortest possible lead-in time and the installation of this press will ensure that remains the case."
The purchase of the Roland press follows a EUR 5m investment in new press and pre-press facilities at Boxes GH sister firms Boxes Prestige and Boxes Prestige Poland, including two new presses – a folder-gluer and an XM Easybender.
Boxes GH, which is part of the specialist-packaging unit of Clondalkin Group, manufactures printed folding cartons for the FMCG sector.
