Ditone to supply millions of labels to Co-op Pharmacy
Ditone Labels, the producer of self-adhesive labels, has won a contract to supply The Co-operative Pharmacy with 56 million labels a year for two years.
The labels will be used to seal medication bags and will be overprinted with patients' details in-store.
The Co-operative Group choose a recycled paper stock for the bags, manufactured by Ditone sister company AP Burt. This new substrate required a specialist adhesive to ensure the labels would safely affix to the bags.
Ditone worked with AP Burt to trial a number of new adhesive options to provide a range of functional labels.
Liz Page, marketing manager for The Co-operative Pharmacy, said: "Ditone's ability to work closely with our existing supplier, AP Burt, allowed them to provide us with a hassle-free, practical solution which has fulfilled our brief completely."
Ditone Labels is part of the specialist packaging division of the Clondalkin Group, which makes cartons, labels, leaflets and inserts.
