Juicy Couture sues Victoria's Secret

Clothing retailer Juicy Couture has filed a lawsuit against lingerie chain Victoria’s Secret for allegedly copying packaging shaped like lollipops and ice-cream cones.

The trademark–infringement lawsuit, filed on 28 April, claims Victoria's Secret’s Pink brand uses nearly identical packaging to Juicy Couture’s ‘Sweet Shoppe’ line, developed in 2005.

Juicy Couture is seeking money damages and profit from the alleged copying, as well as a court order barring Victoria’s Secret from using the sweet-style packaging.

Juicy Couture brand owner Liz Claiborne said in a statement that the firm’s packaging was an important element of its image.
