Multi Packaging Solutions, a manufacturer of packaging for the healthcare and horticulture sectors, has expanded its Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody Certifications to four plants.

The American company has also certified five facilities to Rainforest Alliance Chain-of-Custody Certifications standards.

Chain-of-Custody Certification is a promise to customers that products labelled with the FSC and Rainforest Alliance logos come from sustainably managed forests.

It ensures that each link in the supply chain maintains the integrity of the label by verifying that controls are in place to prevent mixing of products from certified forests with products from uncertified forests.

Dennis Kaltman, president of Multi Packaging Solutions, said: "Chain-of-Custody Certification is a cornerstone in our commitment to sustainable print and packaging, which combines smart design, materials science, technical innovations, and responsible manufacturing.
