Hitech Systems acquires assets of Aucouturier
Hitech Systems, an Italian supplier of packaging machinery for biscuits and baked products, has acquired the exclusive rights to the assets, trademarks and intellectual property of Aucouturier, a French supplier of wrapping machines for the baking sector from the commercial court of Melun.
Massimo Santini, a director of Hitech Systems, told Packaging News that the company would retain all 30 Aucouturier staff, who will remain at Nangis, near Paris.
"We plan to renovate the factory and employ more staff," he said. "Aucouturier fits well into the group as it offers an entry level wrapping machine."
The Hitech Systems Group employs close to 180 people across five firms: Hitech Systems, Hitech Biscuits Technologies (HBT) and FPE in Italy, together with Hitech Asia in Bangkok and the Food Care Alliance in France.
Mario Delsanto, president of Hitech Systems, said: "With this acquisition Hitech strengthens its position as a global packaging solutions provider and consolidates its technological knowledge and presence worldwide."
Hitech Systems, which supplies flow-wrapping machines and robotic pick and place units, is represented in the UK by Sollich UK, based in Nassington, Peterborough. Neil Bainbridge is managing director.
