EskoArtwork has announced it will launch an expanded version of its established Suite 10 software at Ipex with additional features for shrink sleeves and labels.

The comprehensive software allows users to preview the shrunken sleeve on to a chosen pack format in 3D and detect and correct any distorted text.

EskoArtwork demonstrated the new technology at a pre-Ipex event held in La Hulpe, near Brussels in Belgium.

The system will be supported by another new aspect of Suite 10, a comprehensive pack shapes library. Users can even use the library to sell their designs.

Using Suite 10 it is also possible to create job reports and monitor the production process. Shipments of Suite 10 start on 1 May.

EskoArtwork subsidiary Enfocus, which will be exhibiting alongside Esko at Ipex, also presented its PitStop Connect technology at the media event.

PitStop Connect facilitates the easy transfer of PDFs between printer and creative agencies.

A one-off payment for PitStop Connect allows printers to distribute connector software, which sits on the user’s desktop, to as many creative agencies as necessary.

There are a number of tools available to help creative professionals create perfect PDFs, said Enfocus’ director of product management Elli Cloots.

"They are often too expensive, too complex, or too technical for creative professionals to easily use, especially if they infrequently create PDFs for printing," she added.

Esko first demonstrated its Suite 10 software at last year's Labelexpo event.

PitStop Connect will be demonstrated live at Ipex, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC on 18-25 May.
