Digital printing and coding specialist Atlantic Zeiser is to hold world premieres of 11 new machines at Ipex in Birmingham in May.

The company has focused on late-stage customisation under its Industrial Digital Printing 2.0 (IDP 2.0) scheme, resulting in modular systems that can also be retrofitted.

The integrated systems are capable of printing on non-porous substrates including coated, polymer, metal, foil and even glass.

Atlantic Zeiser has categorised this group of 18 machines into three families: Digiline Web, Digiline Sheet and Digiline Single Product.

Alongside the modular units, the company will show its first foray into off-the-shelf print engines, the Omega family, the Gamma family and the Delta family, aimed at the packaging, label and direct product printing markets.

All three machines will be demonstrated on Atlantic Zeiser’s stand at Ipex.

"Everybody knows about the visions about digital printing, but only a few guys are making money from it," said chief executive Oliver Mehler.

"We believe now is the time to take a leap forward in 2.0 and help users make money from it."

Atlantic Zeiser has invested in a majority stake in Berlin-based software company SOFHA, part of Adobe’s circle of development partners.

It is hoped the alliance will result in software to aid in variable data printing, the first results of which will be exhibited at Ipex.
