Haydn-Davies becomes Sirane director in new markets push

Absorbent packaging group Sirane has promoted sales head Jeremy Haydn-Davies to a directorship as the company gears up for international growth and an assault on the film market.

Haydn-Davies, who was previously sales and marketing manager and joined the company when it was founded in 2003, has been promoted to sales director of food packaging at the Telford-based firm.

He said that he would focus on expanding the sales team with new appointments and capitalising on a host of new international sales agents recruited last year.

Agents were appointed during 2009 for France, northern and southern Europe, Germany, Poland, Spain, the Middle East, the USA, Australia and South Africa. Haydn-Davies said: "Part of my future brief for Sirane food packaging will involve lifting volumes in all these geographical areas."

The promotion comes as Sirane plans to launch a number of new packaging formats in the early part of this year. Its latest addition is Sira-Cook, a range of bags, pouches and films for packaging and cooking foods in  microwaves and conventional ovens.

Sirane founder and director Simon Balderson said: "We are very excited about creating markets in the film packaging sector."
