Beatson Clark cleans up at safety awards

Rotherham-based Beatson Clark was given the “Best Overall Health and Safety Performance in the Industry” globe, while managing director Alan Jones was named “Director of Health and Safety of the Year”.

British Glass created the Glass Charter awards as a way to support health and safety executive initiatives and recognise the work of companies and individuals in this area.

Beatson Clark has consistently worked to improve its H&S programme through the adoption of the OHSAS 18001 management standard, training and board-level planning.

Jones, who joined the company in 2001, told guests at the event that everyone in the business is engaged in “a health and safety conscious culture”.

“I am delighted that once again everyone’s efforts have been recognised with the company receiving these prestigious awards,” he said.
