July 16, 2009 Comments Off

Strong sales in the UK and abroad have led Britvic to anticipate full-year results that outperform general market trends

Group revenues for the 12 weeks to 5 July 2009 increased by 5.9% to £249.1m, compared to the third quarter figures for 2008.

Great Britain and international revenues grew by 11.6% to £209.4m, reflecting strong sales growth in both the carbonates and still drinks sectors in Great Britain.

Strong sales of Robinson’s squash, Fruit Shoots and the newly launched Juicy Drench grew still revenues in Great Britain by 8.3%

Meanwhile, carbonate revenues in Great Britain grew by 14.4% in the third quarter compared to last year.

International revenues grew by 17.5%, while revenues in Ireland fell by 24% in the third quarter on last year’s figures.

“Britvic has continued to outperform the market in the last quarter,” said Britvic chief executive Paul Moody.

“As a result, the board now anticipates the full-year outcome is likely to be ahead of the peak of current market expectations.”
