Packaging innovation consultancy Design Futures is to hold a series of one-to-one packaging surgeries as part of the Appetizing Innovations scheme.

Design Futures commercial director Gail Wyman said the seminars were aimed at all managers “with a remit for brand, packaging and processing activities”.

A panel from the Sheffield Hallam University-based packaging consultancy will assess each company’s packaging issues and discuss with them opportunities specific to their business.

Attendees will also receive a written report of the proceedings that will detail how the issues discussed can be implemented.

The Yorkshire Forward initiative, Appetizing Innovations, is being led by Food Processing Faraday Partnership (FPFP) in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University’s Centre for Food Innovation, Leeds Metropolitan University, the Regional Food Group and Design Futures.

Companies in the Yorkshire and Humberside area have been offered a subsidised cost of £295 for up to four delegates to attend a two-hour surgery.

Design Futures is accepting bookings for 19 February, 12 and 26 March 2009.
