Domino acquires PAT Technology SystemsJill Park, 14 October 2008Be the first to comment on this article Domino Printing Sciences plans to expand its subsidiary Purex North America with the acquisition of the air cleaning business of PAT Technology Systems for CAN$2.1m (1.05m). PAT Technology Systems’s cleaning business manufactures and supplies air cleaning equipment for the printing industry. The acquired business will be integrated into Purex’s existing fume extraction business, which will operate under the name Purex North America and headquartered in Quebec, Canada. It has been announced that PAT Technology Systems co-founder and chief executive Wayne Baird will manage the combined business and report to Purex International managing director Paul Priestley. In the past 12 months, Domino has acquired Control Information Technology, its Belgian distributor, Photon Energy and Alternative Printing Services for a total of €27.5m (£21.5m, at today’s prices). Cambridge-headquartered Domino specialises in coding, marking, traceability and printing solutions and has manufacturing facilities in China, Denmark, Germany, India, Sweden, UK and USA.
