The company received the accreditation this month after three external audits over an eight month period to assess the “robustness and effectiveness” of its environmental management system.
In order to achieve the accreditation, Granby set environmental targets across all areas of the business, such as encouraging clients to use more recycled materials and staff to recycle more in the canteen.
Granby Marketing Services chief executive Stephen Bentley said the accreditation is “vital for our industry” if it is to be environmentally responsible.
“It is an independent endorsement of our commitment to social responsibility, through minimising the impact on the environment,” he added.
