Keating Group’s plant in Livingston, Scotland, has been sold by administrators to Amcor Flexibles UK.

Keating Group supplied cylinders for packaging to Amcor Flexibles and has partnered with consumables giant Sun Chemical on gravure printing.

A spokeswoman from Ernst & Young said the eight members of staff employed at the plant transferred to Amcor on 20 March.

Mike Keating, the founder of the Keating Group, the engraver of gravure cylinders for packaging, bought the company's Bradley Fold site out of administration last month, saving 18 jobs.

The firm's two plants in Mold, Flintshire, closed definitively, with the loss of 102 jobs, a week after going into administration.

Keating, who set up the company more than 20 years ago, said he was surprised that the business had been run down in the short period of time since he sold it to Mike Samuel and Paul Musto in July 2007.

Keating Group also has an artwork and repro plant in Bedford that was not affected by the administration.
