Kodak buys NuPro assets

December 23, 2008 Comments Off

Kodak is continuing its growth in the packaging market through the acquisition of “certain assets” of NuPro Technologies for an undisclosed amount

Kodak said the move would “complement the existing portfolio” of computer-to-plate products, printing plates, workflow, film, proofing and screening technologies.

NuPro founder and president David Bradford will join Kodak’s packaging products group management team.

Bradford said the two companies were “a perfect fit” and customers of both companies would benefit from the deal.

“The products we’ve developed over the years help flexo printers improve their business and reduce their environmental impact,” he added.

North Carolina-based NuPro has been active in the printing industry for the past 12 years.

It won the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award 2006, in the small business category, for its environmentally friendly solvent.
