The company’s first half earnings before tax rose by 21% to €91.8m, while profit after tax increased by 31% €62.4m.
Volker Kronseder, chairman of the executive board, said: “Our business has developed strongly in the first six months of 2008 and the outlook remains bright. This is thanks in large part to the fact that demand for packaged beverages and foods continues to increase in line with the number of people around the world seeking a prosperous life, even in the weaker economic cycles.”
Krones added that its order bookings had risen by 12% to reach €1.2bn.
