Lipgloss pack gets racy with pheremones and half-naked men

Kooky cosmetics brand Urban Decay has turned to HCT Packaging to launch a lipgloss pack featuring sex-hormone impregnated inks

HCT has included pheromones, chemicals given off by the body to attract a mate, in the ink used to print the Urban Decay logo.

Lenticular images of men, which appear to undress when the pack is moved, also feature on the lid of the PCTA bottle.

California-based HCT worked with the internal development team at Urban Decay to develop the Pocket Rocket pack, which is ergonomically designed not to ruin the cut of your jeans when in your pocket.

The company’s brief was to fulfil the “ultimate wish list for any women under the age of 90″ by creating a pack that allowed customers to have a good looking man with them at all times.

HCT Packaging vice president sales Nick Gardner told Packaging News that “ensuring good adhesion and the efficacy” of the pheromone-infused ink were the team’s major challenges.

The company used a different hunk for each colour of lipgloss in the range, which was manufactured by the company in China.

All eight shades of lipgloss have now been launched in the UK and are available in Boots, House of Fraser and other Urban Decay outlets.
