A women’s cooperative in the Philippines is behind a new range of lunch boxes made from discarded waste packaging.

The lunchboxes are made from waste packaging from juice container manufacturers, located in and around Manila, which would ordinarily go to landfill.

They are being sold on US luxury website Organica Deluxe.

“We assessed many products and were thrilled to find these fun and eco lunchboxes,” said Organic Deluxe president Jane Hunter.

“They are adorable, one of a kind and every purchase makes a difference,” Hunter told Packaging News.

Organica Deluxe was founded in 2008 in the US by Wendy James and Jane Hunter as an online eco-friendly boutique.
