Multi Packaging Solutions back on acquisition trailliz.wells@haymarket.com, 27 March 2008Be the first to comment on this article Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS), the US packaging group based in New York, has increased its presence in the north-east of North America with the acquisition of Innovative Creative Packaging Solutions (ICPS) in New Jersey. The deal is MPS's second acquisition in as many months, following its swoop in February for Dallas-based Great Western Industries, a supplier of cosmetics and fragrance packaging. MPS has sales of more than $375m (£185m) and produces print and packaging for the cosmetic, healthcare, horticultural, media and consumer markets from 11 production sites throughout the US. ICPS produces folding cartons, promotional packaging and digital labels for the pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetic markets using offset, flexographic and digital printing technologies in South Plainfield, New Jersey. MPS chief executive Marc Shore said the acquisition "strongly complemented" its business and would enable it to expand its manufacturing capacity in the north-east of the US for clients in the healthcare and cosmetics industries. BSMB, the private equity division of Bear Stearns, provided finance for the acquisition, although the terms of the deal were not disclosed. Speak Your Mind |
