Robert Horne has made Paul French its new managing director, after three years as divisional director of the company’s sign and display division. French has been in the visual communication market for over 15 years, beginning his career at Xerox. In 2001, he was appointed managing director of sign and digital specialists Spandex UK. French said: “This is a really exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to leading this business as we navigate our way through the current trading conditions. We have the potential to further enhance our products and services by fully developing the width and depth of our service to customers.” Denmark-based Faerch Plast has appointed Lars Gade Hansen as its new chief executive, with effect from 1 December. He takes over from acting chief executive Niels Hermansen who will revert to the role of chairman. Lars is currently chairman and co-owner of BOD Furniture and used to be CEO of Danish furniture manufacturer Bodilsen. He has a military background, but has also worked as executive vice president for procurement and logistics at refrigerator and freezer manufacturer Vestfrost.
