M-real has developed a paper for flexible printing, specifically for rotogravure.

FDA-approved Simcastor Flex is a one-side coated super-calendered bleached kraft paper, manufactured to HACCP hygiene standards.

Eija Weckstrom-Rita, vice-president Flexpack and Labels, claims it has “excellent visual properties and functionality”.

The paper is suitable for dry products, while Flex ES has the extra stiffness needed in, for instance, yoghurt banderols.
