Plantic launches high-performance packaging sheet

Plantic Technologies, the Australian packaging materials supplier, is to launch HP1, a new high-performance biodegradable packaging sheet.

Plantic HP1 is made from a non-genetically modified renewable resource material, high-amylose corn starch, which is water dispersible and has a renewable bio-content of around 85%.

Plantic chief executive Brendan Morris said: "HP1 allows our environmentally friendly customers to incorporate our technology into additional markets and applications, without sacrificing on function and performance."

Plantic will show HP1 at next week's Interpack - on stand C15 & D14 in hall 7a of the Messe Düsseldorf.
