Sonoco supplies packs for Premier Foods launch
Sonoco, the paper and plastic packaging manufacturer, will supply its flip-top Sono-wrap paperboard pack for a new line from Premier Foods.
The Mr Kipling Cake Bites, which reach supermarkets today (16 June), come in packs of 15 units that have been designed for two-pack high display on shop shelves.
The outer Sono-wrap packs are litho-printed in six colours and the cakes are also individually wrapped.
The base is flexo-printed to display ingredients and nutritional information.
The line, which is available in three flavours, will be supported with a £2.7m marketing campaign that will include television advertising.
Rachel Pirt, senior brand manager for Mr Kipling innovation at Premier Foods, said: "Sonoco's vibrant, flip-top Sono-wrap can really help the brand break through what consumers call 'the wall of cake' in stores."
