The $30m (£14.7m) expansion, which is expected to be in full operation in the second quarter of 2009, will create around 65 new jobs in the region. The company's president Jose Lorent said the growing demand for glass packaging, especially in agricultural exports and in domestic beer, had made the expansion necessary.
