Prent Thermoforming breaks ground at first European site

Prent-Denmark will have design, tool engineering and tool building and clean room capabilities, while product development will initially be supported by the headquarters in Jamesville.

“Several of our customers have expressed great interest in Prent completing the global supply chain,” said Prent president and chief executive Joseph Pregont.

“Our Denmark facility will give us direct manufacturing in Europe to meet the needs of global customers.”

The Janesville, Wisconsin-headquartered company already has five thermoform packaging facilities across China, Malaysia, Puerto Rico and Wisconsin and Arizona in the US.

The company has installed the same Prent-designed and manufactured thermoforming equipment and software across all company sites to maintain consistency.

Construction on the new facility is expected to be completd by late 2009.
