The Netherlands-based company was placed into the hands of receiver H.C. Brandsma of Nysingh advocaten-notarissen on Monday (6 July).
In a statement, the company revealed that Brandsma is “researching all possibilities” as to the future of the press manufacturer.
“I think all the press manufacturers are in a very difficult place,” said Nicholas Mockett of Europa Partners.
“Obviously their customers are not making any money and they are unlikely to be investing in any kit. There’s a lot of second hand kit floating around.”
Mockett added that he was aware of some press manufacturers renting out large pieces of kit during these difficult financial times.
Drent Geobel specialises in the development and marketing of rotary printing presses for the graphic arts industry, including commercial printing, direct mail, packaging and labels.
In February MY Healthcare invested in a £3m Drent Goebel variable sleeve offset press at its Newmarket site.
