2007 Bought DM Plast in Slovakia, Raytec in the Netherlands and Mob in France. Closed Thornaby and Hereford sites in UK

2006 Bought two of Crown Group’s Risdon facilities, one in France and one in Italy. Also acquired Barplas from the Barghout family in Bradford

2005 Opened factory in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, to produce Tassimo coffee discs for North America

2004 Acquired four factories from Rexam; at Hereford in the UK, and one each in France, Belgium and the Czech Republic. Also bought seven factories from Nampak, including Plenmeller and Llantrisant in the UK

2003 Opened new factory in Romania

2002 Opened new factory at Old Dalby in Leicestershire

2001 Bought Polish thermoforming business from Autobar

2000 Bought sites in the Netherlands and Poland from European Packaging Holdings, as well as plants in Germany and the US from Czewo Holdings

1999 Purchased Cobelplast-Montonate sheet business in Italy and Cresstale cosmetics packaging business in UK

1997 Bought Continental Plastics Europe (CPE) from Schmalbach Lubeca

1994 Acquired Market Rasen and Halstead factories from McKechnie, UK

1993 Flotation of RPC Group on London Stock Exchange in May

1991 Management buyout of five UK rigid plastics packaging companies from SCA
