DJPA will become part of the Anthem Worldwide group, the strategic design arm of Schawk. It will work alongside other Anthem and Schawk offices around the world and will be key to the group’s expansion of its strategic design and branding services in Europe.
David Schawk, president and chief executive of Schawk, said: “DJPA has been selected to facilitate the strategically important lead role to expand the network’s brand and packaging design business in Europe and the UK.
“Our acquisition of DJPA is consistent with our strategy of acquiring high quality strategic and creative companies that enhance the integrated global offer that Schawk and Anthem provide.”
DJPA, which was established in 1952, will continue to trade under its own name and will retain its senior management team.
The company has offices in London and Hilversum in Holland and employs 30 staff.
DJPA, which has a turnover of more than $8m, has clients including Unilever, Heinz, Warburtons, Friesland Foods, Grolsch, Burton’s Foods and Fromageries Bel.
