Sun Branding achieves business continuity accreditation

Brand design packaging consultancy Sun Branding Solutions has been awarded a Business Continuity Planning certificate for introducing a system to minimise the risk of disruption to its business in an emergency.

The company has achieved full certification to BS25999 for its business continuity plan, which would be fully implemented within 18 hours of a major disruption to business, such as loss of a critical system or process, loss of access to the company’s buildings or loss of a key supplier.

To obtain the accreditation, Sun Branding Solutions carried out a risk assessment to identify any potential disruption to its services which could in turn impact on its clients’ revenue.

The company was able to identify and rectify any weaker areas.

The audit was carried out by SGS, but overseen by the award body UKAS.

Neil Swallow, operations director at Sun Branding Solutions, said: “Having such comprehensive plans in place enables us to minimise any disruption to our services and ensure that we are fully operational in the case of an emergency.

“The fact that Sun Branding Solutions is likely to be only agency within our industry to achieve this accreditation, with only 13 companies in the whole of the UK certified, reflects the extremely high standard of the processes required and all the hard work involved.”

The accreditation covers the five divisions within Sun Branding Solutions – Gilchrist, Sun Brand Technologies, White Zone, Your Packaging Partner and Legal Impackt.
