Vehicle tracking firm Masternaut is following Little Britain star David Walliams, TV presenter Davina McCall and comedian Jimmy Carr on a bike ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for Sport Relief.

Firms such as United Biscuits and Ann Summers use Masternaut’s tracking system to monitor their shipments to help reduce carbon emissions and keep drivers safe.

For Sport Relief, Masternaut fitted the bikes with GPS systems to monitor the four-day ride, which is aiming to raise £1m for the charity.

It is also providing tracking for rugby player’s Laurence Dallaglio’s journey from Rome to Edinburgh via the Six Nations stadia.

The team of celebrities, who are joined by Radio DJ Fearne Cotton and comedians Miranda Hart, Russell Howard and Patrick Kielty, left the Scottish town yesterday and will take it in turns to cycle non-stop the 1,000 journey that runs the length of Britain.

Masternaut managing director Martin Port said: “It’s fantastic that we’ve been chosen to provide the technology to support such a high profile event which supports such a fantastic cause.”
