'Smart' materials under scutiny at Faraday event
Expert insight into 'smart' materials for packaging will be one of the highlights of the FaraPack Briefing 2007, organised by Faraday Packaging Partnership.
The session on smart materials, delivered by Professor Richard Jones, the new senior strategic advisor for nanotechnology at the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, will be followed by an interactive 'masterclass' for delegates to discuss the issues raised.
The FaraPack Briefing, which takes place on 6-7 November at York Racecourse, will also feature presentations from Professors John Bessant from Imperial College and Alan Hallsworth, formerly at Surrey University, on strategies for high-impact innovation and the future of retailing, respectively.
The event, which takes the theme of major changes effecting FMCG packaging design and development, will hear from Eric Illsley MP, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Packaging Manufacturing, who will present the political viewpoint on packaging.
