Webb Scarlett deVlam to rebrand amid boost to global focus

Design agency Webb Scarlett deVlam is to change its name amid a raft of management changes designed to strengthen the firm's international presence.

The award-winning agency, which is behind packs for brands including Hugo Boss, Plymouth Gin, PG Tips, Pringles and Schweppes, is to rebrand as Webb deVlam following partner Felix Scarlett's recent retirement.

An official rebrand will take place in the second quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, partner Ronald deVlam has taken on a new role as chief executive and global managing partner.

In the new role, deVlam will be responsible for integrating and combining services at the agency's London, Sydney and Chicago offices.

Marketing director Tim Corvin told Packaging News: "Ronald's goal is to improve the strategic service for our international clients and expand our resources, capabilities and outreach globally."

Webb deVlam's London office also has a new head. Tim Perry has become managing partner after rejoining the agency from a four-year stint running design strategy for one of Nokia's mobile phone categories.

Corvin said that Perry would "drive growth and lead the design strategy" in London as well as playing an "instrumental" role in improving collaboration between the agency's offices.

Webb Scarlett deVlam has won a host of Packaging News awards in recent years, including Design Company of the Year in 2008 and last year's Cartonboard Packaging of the Year award for Bombay Sapphire (pictured).
