Reed puts design and innovation at heart of PPMA and Total

Packaging design and machinery innovations will take centre stage at the PPMA Show and Total Processing and Packaging, organiser Reed Exhibitions has revealed.

The PPMA Show is set to provide a machinery demonstrations timetable for the first time to ensure visitors do not miss the latest technology developments on offer.

Reed is also introducing online 'equipment trails' to show visitors all the companies in a chosen product area and their location in the hall. The trails will be available from late August.

The Total Processing and Packaging show, meanwhile, will see the second edition of the successful Design Challenge that was first held in 2007.

Located in the Packaging Innovation Hub, the aim is for packaging and equipment manufacturers to present their wares to design houses to explore new products or applications.

Total also includes a diverse seminar programme and has an area dedicated to pharmaceutical packaging, the Interphex hub.

Group exhibition director Ian Crawford said: "Exhibitors at Total are able to reach a wide-ranging and influential audience, while visitors value the opportunity to meet leading suppliers under one roof."

Total and the PPMA Show both take place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

The PPMA Show runs from 29 September to 1 October. Exhibitors include Domino UK, Endoline Machinery, Ishida Europe, Partners in Packaging and Schubert UK. Click here for more information on the PPMA Show.

Total Processing and Packaging 2010 runs from 25-27 May 2010. Click here for the latest details.
