Bobst customers have attended a four-day open house in Mex, Switzerland for the world premiere of two new folder-gluers.

The multi-purpose Visionfold and Starfold machines, capable of dealing with solid and corrugated substrates, were unveiled yesterday (5 June).

The machines have been designed to meet the needs of manufacturers working with micro-fluting and litho-laminated board.

Litho-laminated board has proved popular among the growing computer and software carton manufacturing industries due to its low weight, strength and good printing qualities.

The Starfold runs at 250m per minute while the Visionfold operates at 200m per minute.

Visitors will also be able to view the Mastercut 2.1 flatbed die-cutter and the Sprintera 145 PER die-cutter.
