EskoArtwork unveils PacVantage colour control software
Packaging pre-production giant EskoArtwork presented its latest software at last week's Labelexpo in Brussels aimed at "taking proofing off the press".
The PacVantage software and technology, designed in conjunction with Exxon Mobil, provides the converter with the "guarantee" that the colour on the proof will match the colour on the final press.
The proof can also be sent over the internet to a dedicated printing device for remote output.
Although the technology is still being tested, EskoArtwork said it had already demonstrated its ability to "control colour" at a leading label converter.
EskoArtwork chief executive Carsten Knudsen said the merger of Esko and Artwork Systems in August would benefit customers, because it made it "easier to operate in the global market".
He also said the company would "over time" look to combine the product offering while continuing to "protect past investments".
