Kliklok Woodman promoting carton converting accuracy in Europe
Kliklok Woodman has brought “complete carton registration” to the European carton converting market with the launch of the Vari-Straight topload carton closer at Interpack today (25 April).
The Vari-Straight first mechanically folds the flap, located at the rear of the carton as it goes down the conveyor belt, called the "Trailing Charlotte".The machine then seals the carton tuck to ensure accuracy of carton registration.
It uses pop-up lugs, known as variable flight pitch technology, to carry the carton through the sealing section where it is turned 90 degrees and the second Charlotte is sealed.
Variable flight technology is unique to Kliklok Woodman.
This technology only fires lugs when a carton is present and so combines the benefit of quick changeovers, normally provided by lugless technology, with the control of lugs.
The company has designed the machine in one line, and made it capable of running at speeds up to 200 cartons per minute, in response to customer requests.
Kliklok Woodman designs and manufactures bagging and cartoning machinery for the bakery, frozen and prepared foods and snack markets.
