EskoArtwork and Sun Chemical launch packaging colour partnership
Packaging design specialist EskoArtwork and ink manufacturer Sun Chemical have teamed up to launch a colour management system at Drupa 2008.
The system can map colours to real Sun Chemical inks, contained in its SmartColour database of more than 300,000 printed packaging colours. These can then be previewed in the EskoArtwork's Kaleidoscope colour management software.
The process allows brand managers, prepress operators, designers and converters to use the software to view colour-accurate proofs and agree the final results.
The data for each job can be electronically stored and recalled for recurring jobs.
The two companies are currently testing the system with mutual customers, but the finished product is expected to be rolled out to the market at the end of the year.
Sun Chemical has also announced its partnership with IMG Digipack in Germany for the FastJet inkjet printing press for corrugated packaging, which can be viewed on the Sun Chemical stand.
Visit Sun Chemical at Drupa in Düsseldorf in Hall 6 on stand B75 and Esko Artwork in Hall 8b, stand A23.
