Why has nobody thought of this before? The idea is so simple and yet the result so effective.

Ogilvy Frankfurt’s packaging for Rellana Wool, which was highly commended in communications group WPP’s WPPED Cream Awards 2009, is, in our eyes, the perfect pack – eye-catching and humorous with no excessive use of materials.

The concept was used by the German company as a special edition to promote its fringed wool range.

Now, I must admit I’m not the typical consumer for this kind of product, but, from what my limited experience has taught me, the sector could do with a bit of an update, and Ogilvy Frankfurt has helped a rather traditional brand step into the 21st century.

If only I could get my hands on a pack…
