Encase has developed the service for customers in the retail, white and brown goods, DIY, component manufacture, chemicals, automotive, logistics and technology sectors.
At a launch event yesterday (27 February), Encase business development manager Chris Else designed and created a corrugated tray within minutes using the Kasemake CAD design system.
The CAD system can design a pack, animate it in 3D and demonstrate on screen what the pack will look like when filled with products.
The system will flag up any design problems, such as press-compatibility issues, and recommend the best board grades to use.
Finlay Beverages packaging manager Andrew Finch said the centre offered the "added value" he was looking for.
He said: "I know that they can all do this really, but I'm pleased that Encase are going that extra mile and I will utilise it."
Cumbrian Seafoods buyer Tim Hamer said the speed of the process was impressive.
He said: "Normally it takes seven days to get a sample, now you can get it within five minutes, which is terrific."
Encase employs 300 staff at its sites in Banbury, Leeds and East Kilbride.
