EskoArtwork opens competition to design pack for new software

Packaging design software specialist EskoArtwork is offering a trip to Florida and a EUR 2,000 cash prize in a competition to design the packaging for its latest software portfolio.

Suite 10 is an upgrade of Esko’s software for packaging and label design and the firm is hoping the competition will produce a pack format that is something more than the traditional folded carton container.

The result will be used to ship more than 10,000 copies of the software, guaranteeing excellent exposure to the winning entry.

“The competition is an amazing opportunity for anyone with packaging know-how to make a name for themselves and get their design seen around the world,” said Jef Stoffels, director of corporate marketing at EskoArtwork.

The competition is open to anyone involved in packaging – designers, converters, students – and will be judged by an independent panel.

The winner will receive EUR 2,000 – or EUR 4,000 in EskoArtwork software vocuhers – and a trip to the EskoWorld User conference in Florida in April, where the winning design will be unveiled.

The deadline for entries is 1 March and more information is available by visiting www.esko.com/contest/

Belgian firm EskoArtwork gave a first insight into Suite 10 at last year’s Labelexpo. It includes five “software engines” for workflow automation, colour and image management, supply chain collaboration and dynamic content so brands can easily update information that is included on packaging labels.
