EskoArtwork targets Indian growth

November 6, 2009 Comments Off

Packaging pre-press specialist EskoArtwork has opened a new site in India as part of a strategy to target new business in the region

The 6,000sq ft office in Bangalore will enable the company’s team of programmers, software developers and application engineers to extend the systems integration capabilities and E-support services.

It is vital for Esko to have a strong presence in India because it is one of the world’s fastest growing business territories, according to chief executive Carsten Knudsen.

“The new premises underline our commitment to investing in the Global Resources Centre (GRC). We’re dedicated to attracting the region’s talented IT professionals and providing customers worldwide with exemplary technical support,” he said.

Managing director of Esko’s India subsidiary Dinesh Chandra said: “India is a significant market, and by expanding our office we’re perfectly placed to develop new commercial opportunities in the region.

“India is a furthermore sophisticated IT hub, and with anticipated continued growth of Esko we will now be in the position to recruit additional IT professions.”

Esko has had an office in India since 1996, focussing on developing commercial opportunities in the domestic market.

In 2007, the firm established the GRC, providing support for sophisticated systems integration projects that are mainly originated in Europe and North America.

At September’s Labelexpo, Esko announced it would be introducing a new software package, called Platform 10, next year.
