First use for RPS Chicken Domestevenkiernan, 1 February 2007Be the first to comment on this article Rovipak Packaging Solutions (RPS) has launched its Chicken Dome pack (pictured) in conjunction with The Black Farmer brand. Lloyd Maunder, the Devon-based poultry processor, has chosen RPS’s dome concept for the new Black Farmer Ultimate Roasting Chicken, in the pack’s first application. The dome overcomes a long-standing problem facing chicken producers where film wrapping relaxes and unravels over time. In contrast to traditional designs, the dome consists of a clear rigid shell that closely follows the contours of the bird. The product launched in Sainsbury’s last November and will appear in other major outlets this month.
